JMR Portfolio Intelligence was founded in 1997 as an institutional proxy voting service. The firm’s work expanded to include portfolio screening for investment management companies in the U.S. and the U.K. and continues that work today.
In addition, JMR’s principal, John Richardson is an expert in the field of business and human rights, working with businesses and civil society organizations on a range of issues related to human rights. He is also an adjunct professorial lecturer at American University School of International Service in Washington D.C., where he teaches political risk analysis and human rights and business courses.
John Richardson holds a juris doctor degree and an LLM (masters) degree in international law with a focus on human rights. He has published articles on human rights and humanitarian law.
